A seasoned senior executive, Sherman has played pivotal roles within the Forest Products Industry including Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Financial Officer and Region Vice-President. His prior successes include roles with large national corporations as well as large regional independent companies. Sherman currently serves as Senior Advancement Officer for Corban University where his primary responsibilities include fundraising and Strategic Planning with a specific focus on the development and advancement of the Agricultural Science Program.
Sherman received a B.S. in Biology (Premed) from Oregon State University in Corvallis, where he graduated with High Scholarship. He also received a Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management and a Masters in Engineering Management from the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University where he was recognized as an Austin Scholar.
Sherman has served on several boards, including Corban University Board of Trustees, United Way of Northeast Georgia, Athens Technical College and Second Chance Youth and Family Services.
An avid skier and cyclist, Sherman is a record-holding athlete (Race Across America; World Time Trial Championships). Sherman and his wife, Sharon, have three grown children and have recently relocated back to their roots in Portland, Oregon where they both grew up. He and Sharon both attended Corban University (Western Baptist College) in 1980-81.
